The Barbour Living Heritage Village is located in Newtown, Bonavista Bay, Newfoundland and Labrador. It is on a point of land surrounded by tickles and beaches and is highly visible when entering the community.

The Village is located at 1 School Crescent (near the Barbour Bridge)

Newtown was settled in 1853. It was once referred to as “The Venice of Newfoundland”. Don’t be surprised if you spot a gondola floating gently down the Tickle. In 1992, Newtown joined with the communities of Valleyfield, Badger’s Quay, Pool’s Island, Brookfield, Wesleyville, Pound Cove, and Templeman to form the new community of New-Wes-Valley.
