Our Location

The Barbour Living Heritage Village is located at 1 School Crescent, Newtown, Bonavista Bay, Newfoundland. It is on a point of land surrounded by tickles and beaches and is highly visible when entering the community.

Newtown was settled in 1853. It was once referred to as “The Venice of Newfoundland”. Don’t be surprised if you spot a gondola floating gently down the Tickle. In 1992, Newtown joined with the communities of Valleyfield, Badger’s Quay, Pool’s Island, Brookfield, Wesleyville, Pound Cove, and Templeman to form the new community of New-Wes-Valley.
